The flood of pain does not go away. I force myself to stand and walk as much as I can tolerate, but the year is coming to an end with little relief from the flood of suffering I deal with every day of my life. I hope the physician whose careless words resulted in this flood of pain might no longer be in practice, but I fear he might be -- albeit in a different place.
